The Alba is our flagship vessel offering a luxury experience with modern finishes and elegant styling. Our floating restaurant is ideal for upscale events or romantic moments.
Danny Buoy is the crowd favourite for larger celebrations. The ultimate party boat, Danny Bouy is lively, spacious, and perfect for birthdays, year-end parties, and private functions.
Toro Ya Me is our smaller 2-deck vessel, ideal for private groups celebrating or simply unwinding. Enjoy a 1-hour cruise with spacious seating and drinks from our onboard bar.
Luxury Pontoon Boats are perfect for groups of 10 to 25 wanting a private, laid-back luxury setting with full on-board service.

Who We Are
The Mostert family, Dion and Natasha Mostert, and family, are the passionate owners behind Harties Harbour and its associated guesthouse (La Dolce Vita Guesthouse), a venture that combines their extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.
With a collective 50 years in the field, their journey has been one of dedication to creating unique and memorable experiences. Natasha honed her skills by studying travel and tourism in Cape Town, while Dion, originally from Durban, brought his own wealth of hospitality, events and tourism experience. Their shared love for the industry is the driving force behind their businesses, a passion that has been with them since their
The Story of Us
The story of their business began in 2003 with the establishment of the guest house. However, it was Dion’s vision and “African Dream” that led to a significant expansion into boat cruises on the Hartbeespoort Dam.
In 2016, this vision became a reality with the launch of their flagship vessel, the “Danny Buoy,” a 100-passenger boat. The fleet soon grew to include the “Toro Ya Me,” that means “My Dream” in Setswana, a smaller 35-passenger boat, catering to a variety of guest needs. Their philosophy was never to offer a simple “hop-on, hop-off” service, but rather a complete two-hour immersive experience, allowing guests to fully appreciate the majestic Magaliesberg mountain range and the beauty of the dam.
Their journey has not been without its challenges, particularly the severe impact of the COVID-19 lockdowns on the tourism industry. Yet, they persevered, and their business has since seen unprecedented growth. This success enabled their most ambitious project yet: bringing “The Alba,” a luxurious glass-enclosed vessel, from Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront to Hartbeespoort. This monumental task involved months of meticulous planning, overcoming logistical hurdles, and a two-week overland journey with police escorts.
The arrival of The Alba, whose name means “Sunrise” in Italian, marked a new chapter for the Mosterts, symbolising a new dawn for tourism in the Northwest Province and allowing them to offer even more upscale experiences like corporate events and water weddings.
